I love love love the character dynamics on The Sarah Connor Chronicles and I'm especially fond of Sarah and Derek. What makes them so great to watch is the tension. At the heart of that is a clash in methodology layered on the unspoken (for a long time, anyway) thread that held them together: Kyle.

It's a larger copy of it that I linked to, but it's otherwise exactly the same as what you already saw.
All the show's intricate connections shown between Sarah, Derek, and Kyle are touched on in this video and a very satisfying way --I especially love the edited part with the polaroid :)
While I never thought they would be a love interest for each other, there was defiantly some sparkage going on!

On a mostly unrelated note, I just saw Lena's work in the movie "Imagine Me & You" last night. I had never got around to seeing it yet. Very cute and charming movie, I thought. That's actually the first time I'd seen Piper Perabo, I don't keep up with movies very much. Little Boo Jackson was terrific too. Anyway, it was nice to see a little more of Lena's work. She's definitely one of my favorite actresses after seeing TSCC. Wish we could see more. I miss seeing her each week.
You just saw IMAY for the first time? Oh that's a wonderful feel-good movie! Lena really is such an amazing actor. I'd never heard of her before TSCC, but I've become a huge fan. I've seen quite a bit of her past work in the last two years. She's so good I'll see a film just because she's in it.

John is so important to the story that I really debated about how to use him in the video. But since I wanted the focus to really be on Sarah and Derek (and it's more about Derek), I thought that shot at the end said it all — Kyle is the common link for Sarah and Derek and that leads to John. I'm glad you liked it.
I think there was more shipper moments between the two in the last half of both seasons then there was Jameron.
especally with the conversation with Sarah at the grave yard in which he almost clearly states he see there is something there between them that isn't going away, but Sarah ended up being the tortured brooding somewhat hipocritical person she is and shoots him down.

Though she nearly cries about his death when talking to elison.

This wasn't intended to be a shippy video, but I definitely do ship them. I didn't see much hope for Sarah/Derek in the show, though, once Jesse entered the scene. Derek having that strong relationship already in place and betraying John pretty well wiped out any chance for them. But I can still imagine the *what if* of and alternate season 2 path :)

Actually, you've got that reversed. She said "Derek's dead" and then there was a dramatic pause (and slight choke up) before she said "Charley's dead". And actually it bothered me that she choked up saying it to Ellison, but not saying it to Derek at the cemetery. I know she was still pissed at Derek then, but still... it's like she had a stronger emotional bond with Ellison than Derek and that's so not the case.
By the time I'd finished my first vid, I already knew I was doing this one next — I knew the song and the basic story I wanted to tell. Then I saw your Sarah and Ellison video and it really inspired me (I love your vids!) to take it further that I think I would have.
fangirledcommented here, so...You have some awesome transitions in there - the Derek drinking a beer morphing seamlessly into Sarah drinking a beer. Damn, woman! The parallels! The brothers with Sarah and ending in John! The nuclear power plant of today morphing into one with HKs flying around it! The city skylines! Boy Derek looking up at the sky morphing into man Derek! The staccato beat of the music to the machine gun fire of the Terminator in the bunker! The picture of Sarah! Derek firing shots perfectly on the beat! The overlay of Sarah walking away from Andy's burning house! The whole fear section ending in the box being lowered into the ground and then "it's already done" to Derek taking a bullet to the head. (Oh, DEREK!)
