in the belly of the beast

My giant crazy cat ate my favorite necklace. Well, he didn't eat the little charm, but he ate about 95% of the leather strap it dangles from, including the clasp. WTF cat?! I must have left part of it sticking out of my jewelry box or something and he yanked it out. The jewelry box was still closed, yet I found the remnants of the necklace on the floor.

He's like a shark, this cat. He'll eat anything. He's been known to eat plastic, tape, paper, carpet fuzz, rubber bands, pieces of vinyl mini blinds, styrofoam, hair, ponytail holders and aluminum foil. And now I'll add a leather strap and a metal clasp to the list. I wonder if all this stuff is just stuck in his stomach?

If you see anything coming out dont pull on it, it could hurt them. Mine drags easter grass under the bed and chews it. They like things with edges. Weird cats.

*LOL* It's bin day in our neighbourhood which means Mr Boo has an all-you-can-eat buffet out there on the pavement for his entertainment. He came in orange once, full of next door's left over chicken tika. He tried to deny it but the evidence was right there... all over his face... all over his paws... and then all over my floor when he brought it straight back up. Sometimes, I wonder whether I should've just had kids instead...

"Sometimes, I wonder whether I should've just had kids instead... "

lol - Are you sure about that? Kids are not cleaner than pets. They get into just as much mischief and make even more messes than any pet I've ever had. ;)

Holy crap! That is a lot for the wee kitty tummy. Hopefully it doesn't cause any distress when/if it comes out...

Ah, the life of a cat owner! Mine is still relatively new to the household (I got her about six months ago) and she finds ways to chew on/destroy all kinds of things. I've learned that I can't leave leftovers out since she helps herself to them and then still meows (loudly!) for dinner! I say it's like having a toddler, only a furry one.

I think kids might vomit less. My little gal cat will walk over paving, laminate floor and tiles to puke all over my soft furnishings. Plus she just cost me a small fortune at the vets. The other one is a monster. He yowls, he tears things off walls, he taps ornaments off shelves, pushes his wet nose into my ear, raids bins, makes me sneeze. He destroyed a map once and ate Madagascar... Cat says we're "enablers", actually, she says that I am, cos mostly, I laugh as opposed to attempting to disclipline. I think we were right on the not having kids front, I'd make a terrible mum!

My family's dog would chew on anything you left close enough to the ground for him to reach, but actually swallowing and digesting it? Not so much. Are you sure your cat isn't actually a Nibblonian or a swamp dragon in disguise?
