I've been very absent from LJ of late, but I have a good excuse. For several months now, aelysian, schmacky and I have been hard at work, planning NO FATE: The Sarah Connor Chronicles Convention.

It started way back in June of 2009 as a fleeting "we should totally have a TSCC con" followed by OMG YES!!! But efforts to save the show — to get a continuation of some sort —  took priority for more than a year. After Comic Con 2010, we were finally done with campaigns and ready to let those in the position to actually create more TSCC do their thing. Maybe one day in the not-too-distant future, legal entanglements will unravel and they'll be able to do just that. In the meantime, we've got a new purpose...

No Fate Con | May 11-13, 2012 | Pasadena, CA
The official con site launched today. Judgment day just seemed appropriate for a "launch" ;)

I wish I could go but my current circumstance of being jobless and half way round the world are impediments I can’t overcome, however I wish you the best in your endeavours.

I also have to say that logo/picture is truly poetic; how it encapsulates The Creation of Adam scene from the Sistine Chapel and all the parallels that can be drawn from it, very clever indeed!

I'm sad you won't be able to come. I have a feeling most of the attendees will end up being people local to the Los Angeles area, but I'd love for all the online fans I know to come. I want to meet everyone on person!

Thank you :)
It really seemed to fit the show perfectly. The funny thing is this was one of the early ideas i had for the logo, but the forgot all about it. I went through something like 20 or 30 concepts, none of which really thrilled us. Then I was watching T2 one night, saw the endo arm in the lab at Cyberdyne and that early idea finally came back to me. I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

Yes, the logo is badass. And shockingly enough, I think I really will be able to come. That's far enough out that I can get the time saved up at work, and having family in the area is a REALLY good excuse for me to ditch my life for a weekend. ;P

Yeah, we're hoping that by announcing it a year ahead of time gives people time to save up. Also, it takes a long time to get it all together. It's taken months of research and prep just to get to this point. (And from this side of things it probably doesn't even look like we've done much!) I'm looking forward to the work ahead, though, and even more forward to... CON!
