I've yet to buy Farscape on DVD because it's freaking expensive and it's confusing as hell trying to figure out which set is best to buy. Well, I'm glad I delayed because a
complete Farscape DVD mega set (all 4 seasons) is coming out in November. It's being issued by A&E Home Entertainment to mark the 10th anniversary of the series and it's supposed to be
loaded with features.
To top it off, there's going to be a Farscape panel at Comic Con to talk about it. Executive producer Brian Henson, creator Rockne O'Bannon, and stars Ben Browder and Claudia Black will be there.
Can I get a hell yeah?

It's been nigh impossible to get Farscape on DVD at a decent price ever since ADV lost the rights.
I hate ADV films - I started buying Farsape when it first came out on DVD, before all the rereleases, so I've got the first three seasons in about a zillion separate DVDs, but I'm not too sad if I miss out on the extras, just as long as I have the eps.
Argh, the only probelm is, everything that I love is on Friday this year at Comic Con! The Farscape panel (I've never seen Claudia Black in person, I love her!) the 24 panel with Katee Sackhoff, the Caprica/BSG - The Plan panel and the Spartacus panel with Lucy Lawless! Frell! Frak! Too many fandoms and only one of me! Why can't we be cylons and have our copies running around Comic Con so we can take it all in?! I think I'll have to go with my first fangirl love of Xena so I'll do the Spartacus panel, but damn if it won't be a hard choice! Argh!
We managed to get all four seasons at knock-down prices thanks to a beautifully timed Amazon and HMV sale, right when we had fallen in love with the show and wanted to watch it all. We were probably one of the few people who started watching in Season 4 (thanks to a very persuasive pen pal!) - experienced a lot of WTF?! moments but knew we were watching something pretty extraordinary. One loan of a season one box set later and we were out stalking HMV... the store assistant must've thought we were nuts when we walked away with S3 and 4 on ten different sets!
Not sure what it is with me and bizarrely accented women... *g*
A woman with an accent is a verry sexy thing! ;D All my favorite actresses are Brits, Kiwis, Aussies, or in one case, a Texan - lol!
LOL. I would love to know where Lena cobbles together her accent from - it's certainly not all Huddersfield! God love BSG for letting Lucy Lawless keep her accent... yum.
Haha, lol! Thanks for letting me know that Lena's accent is not all Huddersfield! To our unsophisticated Yank ears (or mine at least) one English accents sounds like another - I find Lena's very sexy, no matter how many places she puts it together from! And yes, Lucy did mention that BSG was the first time in ages she'd acted with her native Kiwi accent - who says cylons are all US/Canadian? LOL!
Nope, that's definitely not a Yorkshire accent! If you've seen her in Band of Gold *that's* a Yorkshire accent. She's Mancunian in The Parole Officer(i.e. Manchester where I'm from) but the lovely one she's got for herself is mangled from many places I think! And all the more lovely for it ;-)
